Performance Care
ART Performance Care is a system of biomechanical
analysis designed to allow anyone, but particularly
athletes, to perform their best and achieve their goals
more readily.  By methodical observation of walking,
running, or other activities a treatment plan is created
that is tailor-made to the athlete.  This frequently
includes ART protocols to loosen tissues that are
tight, and re-activate muscles that are weak, as well
as strengthening and stretching exercises to maintain
the improvement.  Many times, these problem areas
are asymptomatic, but increasing pressure on other
areas, which may hurt, decrease strength or range of
motion.
ART Biomechanics, where Performance Care is learned, is a credential
above and beyond basic certification.  After completing the standard
modules in ART, the provider completes a 6-month online course
involving a systematic breakdown of human movement and many hours
of video footage to back up the learning.  Finally, to complete the
certification the provider tests at an athletic event by identifying
problem areas in running gait, and treating the athlete to resolve them.

triathlon in Lake Placid, NY, as seen above and below.
